General:
Pyrithiodium also known as sodium pyrithione, belongs to pyridine derivative class fungicide. Soluble in organic solvents such as water and ethanol, solubility (mass fraction) : 53% water, 19% ethanol, 12% polyethylene glycol (PEG400). The optimal pH range is 7 ~ 10, and the mass fraction of 2% aqueous solution is 8.0. Unstable to light, oxidant and strong reductant. It is slightly inactivated by nonionic surfactants and can chelate with heavy metals.
