General
The OIT 10 preservatives is a highly effective, industrial fungicide that exhibits excellent fungistatic and fungicidal activity against fungi, including yeasts and mold, and Gram-Positive bacteria, and limited activity against Gram-Negative bacteria. Commonly known as octhilinone, 2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one is the active ingredient of OIT 10 biocide industrial grade. It is supplied as a 10 percent active liquid in propylene glycol. Octylisothiazolinone is a kind of Oil soluble Bactericide and preservatives, suitable for Crude oil, wood and plastic industry.Our factory professcial produce OIT 10 biocide industrial grade. Solubility of OIT 10 preservatives
OIT 10 preservatives is soluble in methanol, ethanol, propylene glycol, acetone, ethyl ether, ethyl acetate, chloroform, butyl Cellosolve, corn oil, and mineral oil. It's insoluble in heptane. The solubility in toluene is 25% w/v; And solubility in water at 25°C is 480 ppm (active ingredient), although this may be increased by using suitable surfactants and emulsifiers.

Stability of Octylisothiazolinone:
In-Use Stability: OIT 10 preservatives has excellent stability in end use dilutions of metalworking fluids. It is stable over a wide pH range (4-10) in water and in metalworking fluid systems. Concentrate Stability OIT 10 Biocide stability, in metalworking fluid concentrates, is variable. We recommend checking stability and performance before commercialization of products.

Plastics & Plastics coatings; Recommended use level* (% w/w product) is 5 – 10%.
Widely used in Paint,inks,lubricant,shoes cream,leather chemical,wood product and cultural relic protection etc.
Safety/Operation of octylisothiazolinone:
Avoid any contact with the skin. Wear protective clothes, goggles, and rubber gloves in operation. Once touch, will be sensitive to skin.Irritating to the skin and eyes.
