Piroctone Olamine is a broad spectrum of microbiocide/microbiostat. Piroctone olamine, also known as piroctone ethanolamine, is a compound sometimes used in the treatment of fungal infections. It is known for its bacteriostatic and fungistatic properties specifically working against Pityrosporum ovale, which lives on the skin and is associated with dandruff and other manifestations of flaking on the face and scalp. Piroctone Olamine also reduced sebum production.
Piroctone Olamine is an anti-dandruff active ingredient, soothes inflamed scalp and reduces flaking.
