Bronopol Water Treatment Microbiocide preservative is broad-spectrum bactericide used to control microbial growth and its associated problems in industrial process systems such as cooling water, oil production and transport, pulp and paper production.

Application:  

Bronopol 99 Biocide is mainly used in industrial circulating water, paper pulp, paint, plastics, cosmetics, wood, cooling water circulation system, as well as sterilization, mildew, anti-corrosion and algae killing for industrial purposes.

Directions for Use

Bronopol Water Treatment Microbiocide preservative may be used in the following end-use applications.

1) Pulp and Paper

BNP powder may be used for the control of slime- forming bacteria in paper mill process water and bulk pulp. It can be added into the hydropulper, machine chest or stock check. The correct dose of active ingredient for these applications is 10-250 ppm Bronopol in paper mill process water and 50-250 ppm BRONOPOL in bulk pulp.

2) Water Treatment

Bronopol Microbiocide may be used to control slime-forming bacteria in recirculating water cooling towers, evaporative condensers, industrial process water, and air scrubber, air conditioner and humidifier systems. BRONOPOL may be dosed directly into the sump or basin at any point where there is adequate agitation to ensure dissolution. The correct dose range of active ingredient is 25-100 ppm BRONOPOL.

3) Oil Production

Bronopol 99 biocide may be used to control aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, especially sulfate-reducing bacteria, in oil and gas-related production Bronpol may be dosed at any convenient point in the process. The dose rate for oil flooding/injection waters, enhanced oil recovery fluids, produced water, drilling fluids, fracturing fluids and workover and completion fluids is 50-100 ppm BRONOPOL. The dose rate of active ingredient for well squeeze fluids and fracturing fluids is 25-200 ppm.

4) Oil and Gas Transportation and Storage

Bronopol Microbiocide may be used to control aerobic and anaerobic bacteria that contribute to corrosion in pipeline maintenance and water bottoms in oil or transportation tanks. The dose range for water bottom in oil or transportation tanks is 50-100 ppm in the aqueous phase. For pipeline maintenance the dose range is 25-200 ppm.

Advantage:

1) Highly efficient, with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, can inhibit the growth of most bacteria at25ppm concentration, and better for Gram-negative bacteria and various Pseudomonas species;

2) Low dosage and low price. In cosmetics, the dosage is generally 0.01~0.05%, which is one tenth of the common preservatives of parabens, and the cost of use is more than half of that of parabens;

3) Good compatibility. Nutrients such as protein and various cationic, anionic, nonionic surfactants will not affect its antibacterial effect;

4) A suitable pH range. It is effective in the range of pH 4-9, that is, in the environment of weak acidity, neutrality and partial alkali, it can maintain strong antibacterial effect after adding;

5) Good water solubility. It is easily soluble in water and has a solubility of 25g in water at 25 ° C. It's extremely convenient to use.

Range of use and amount of addition:

This product can be used in creams, lotions, shampoos and other products. The general addition amount is 0.2-0.5‰, and the maximum allowable addition amount in the daily chemical product is 1‰, and there is no residue in the discharge, which will not cause cumulative pollution to the environment. Application pH range: 4-8; application temperature range: generally pre-dissolved in an appropriate amount of water, added below 60 °C.

Precautions:

This product can be applied in a wide range of pH, with the best range from acidic to neutral. It is unstable under high temperature and alkaline conditions, and the color becomes dark under the sun light. It is compatible with most surfactants, but when a substance containing a -SH group in a cosmetic raw material, such as cysteine, etc., its antibacterial activity is lowered. In addition, aluminum metal can also reduce the antibacterial activity of this product.
