Preservatives themselves are substances that exist to prevent bacterial changes and spoilage of products. In short, they allow spoilage to last longer!
Our factory launches several types of preservatives in daily chemicals and cosmetics:
1) Kathon CG (Equal to CMIT/MIT 1.5%)
Cosmetic Raw Material isothiazolinone 1.5CG preservatives is a safe, Effective, Globally Approved Preservative for Rinse-Off Products. CMIT/MIT 1.5%CG is supplied as an aqueous solution readily incorporated into cosmetic formulations; No color or odor imparted to cosmetic products; With effective over the entire pH range normally encountered in cosmetics;
Kathon CG has good compatibility with surfactants and emulsifiers, Rapidly biodegradable, Environmentally preferred.
The active ingredient preparation is chloromethylisothiazolinone & methylisothiazolinone to preserve body washes, conditioners, liquid soaps, shampoos and wipes.
2) MIT-10 (Methylisothiazolinone)
Cosmetic Grade Preservative Methylisothiazolinone 10% solution (MIT-10) is a broad-spectrum bactericidal preservative that effectively kills algae, bacteria and fungi. MIT is effective at killing a wide range of bacteria at low concentrations, especially for the preservation of cosmetic and personal care formulations.
MIT-10 is a straight solution of the active ingredient in water and does not contain any additives or salt. Low toxicity, no residue, and Emulsifiers, surfactants and protein components have good compatibility.
It is an active ingredient solution for the preservation of cosmetic, paints, binder dispersions, adhesives and other technical products. It contains an active substance permitted for use in food contact coatings and adhesives provided that the customary dosage rates are not exceeded.
3) PCMX 99
PCMX 99% Powder is a secure, high-efficient, broad spectrum, low-toxic antibacterial; Friendly to environment, formaldehyde-free, Non-toxic impurities, easily degradable; Friendly to human body, can be used in disinfectant of skin mucous membrane;
Chloroxylenol is slightly soluble in water, soluble in dilute alkali solutions, freely soluble in many organic solvent & alkaline solution. Used to inhibit bacteria, fungi and mold growth.Display a combination of sterilization and preservation of unique, so efficient and no toxic in many sterilization application.
Widely used in Personal care products, antibacterial soap, antibacterial shampoo, liquid soap, laundry detergent; Cosmetic: as the stabilizer in face cream,lipstick,shampoo,eye shadow.
4) SPT 40% Emultion
SPT 40% is currently the most effective water-soluble industrial mildew preservative. Easily soluble in organic solvents such as water and ethanol. It can restrain and sterilize eight moulds, including black mold,aspergillus flavus, aspergillus versicolor,penicillium citrinum, paecilomium varioti bainier,trichoderma viride,chaetomium globasum and cladosporium herbarum;
Widely used in the fields of daily chemicals (shampoo and hair care products), latex paint, adhesive, leather products, textile,architectural coatings, adhesives, sealants, pesticides, metalworking fluids,anti-rust liquidetc etc. It can also formulate products such as disinfectants, astringents and medical broad-spectrum antifungal dermatology drugs.
What do preservatives do?
1). to prevent product corruption, any material will have oxidation metamorphic time;
2). to prevent secondary pollution in the process of use, often dig, hand bacteria will repeatedly touch the product, the product is easy to pollution;
3). Prevent organic matter from decomposing harmful substances in skin care products.
Therefore, as long as the use of preservatives stipulated by the state, and not over the amount, then it must be more beneficial than harmful.
