General
The product is an aqueous dipropylene glycol solution of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one. It is a broad spectrum biocide for the preservation of industrial aqueous-based products against spoilage from all kinds of microorganisms. It is also called Proxel GXL in abroad, the same biocide.
The other forms of BIT supplied include 10% BIT aqueous solution, BIT mixed with MIT, BIT mixed with Bronopol etc. The biocide of BIT 10% aqueous solution is same as Proxel AQ.
