Methylisothiazolinone (MIT-50) is a broad-based bactericidal preservative that effectively kills algae, bacteria and fungi. It has low effective dosage, no toxicity and no pollution, and it is easy to mix in various formulations. PH has a wide range of use.
MIT-50 is a straight aqueous solution of the active ingredient Methylisothiazolone, and does not contribute to VOC and AOX.
After dilution and concentration, it is easily biodegraded into non-toxic and non-polluting substances. Low toxicity, no residue, and Emulsifiers, surfactants and protein components have good compatibility. MIT is effective at killing a wide range of bacteria at low concentrations, especially for the preservation of cosmetic and personal care formulations. Applicable pH range pH2.0-12.0, miscible with water, can be added in any process, easy to operate.
Miscibility/Solubility
Infinite solubility in water, miscible in a wide range of water soluble solvents.
Stability
Temperature: up to 60°C (short periods to 80°C), pH range: 2 to 12;
Application and Dosage
MIT-50 combines environmental acceptability with effective preservation. It can be used in a wide range of products. Suitable for use in daily chemicals, cosmetics, paints, synthetic polymer emulsions, and other water-based systems.
